Second Graders are over the moon about starting our new unit of study in Science. Today, you will notice a special recording calendar coming home in red folders for moon observation. This at home activity will be enjoyed by the whole family. Students will observe the moon nightly and illustrate the changes they see. Observations will begin tonight, January 29th. We've encouraged the kids to tape their moon calendars to the refrigerator to remember their special job. This will encourage personal responsibility.
We've linked a website entitled "Phases of the Moon" on the right hand menu under the tab Science. This site will help you complete the calendar, as some days the moon will be hard to observe.
Please return the completed moon calendars on February 26th!
